Welcome to Room 9 Third Grade
Parents, hello and welcome to Mr. Acosta's Room 9 website. This website is designed for the calendar school year 2021-2022. You now have easy access to the classroom curriculum, room schedule, educational websites, special events, and homework assignments. The site will be updated weekly to reflect the instruction being taught. The homework assignment will be posted weekly. Any changes or addition to the assignments will be posted daily. I am also glad to announce the continuation of our Reader's Workshop program. The goal of the program is to encourage our students to become life long readers. The program is designed for the students to read at their appropriate reading level. It encourages the discussion of books, reading of different genres, building reading stamina, and comprehension. The staff here is truly excited about this program and its success.
I welcome you to a new and exciting year. We have started off the instructional year by distance learning. We will encounter many different challenges, but I am confident that this will be a rewarding, productive, and satisfying year. Third grade is a crucial year for a student's academic formation and it is imperative that students come prepared to learn, work, and grow academically. This will be a full and rewarding year that will incorporate the major use of technology as a learning tool. With you support and guidance, your students will master the third grade curriculum standards. Welcome back to school.
